Cassie Sun is a New York–based artist whose practice spans large format analog photography, alternative processing, and photobook making. Her work pursues two directions at once: finding form within chaos — the latent structure beneath eruption, accident, and the everyday — and releasing what is buried inside form — the intensity and wildness that structure contains but does not show.
After graduating from college, Cassie continued her studies at the International Center of Photography, the Penumbra Foundation, and the School of Visual Arts.
